Sales Manager and DJ Chris Cockroft said, “besides being more cost effective, DJs can play all types of genres and music, and can read the crowd and apply the music.”

 

“Cockroft said when hiring reception music, you should ask questions about experience, work ethic and back-up equipment. He also said you should ask if you can see the DJ in action by going to someone else’s reception if it’s OK with the bride and groom.”

 

Budget – In Colorado, bands usually cost from $1,500 to $6,000, while DJs range from $500 to $1200, Vaughan said.
